About the Author

Elless Sayers grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Elless began writing poetry as a teenager. Writing has always been an outlet for sorting through the adversities in her life. As an adult living with depression and anxiety who once considered ending her own life, she re-discovered writing as a means of self-therapy.

When Elless’ high school sweetheart, and later husband, took his life, she wrote him letters throughout her stages of grief, from anger to forgiveness. Elless made the ultimate decision to honor his life by telling his story in a fictional setting so he would never be forgotten.
